Describing us, we are:

Local:
How many times have you called to deal with a computer or software issue and talked to a support technician in a foreign country? While their qualifications may not be in question, there is that language barrier. When discussing the problem, did you really communicate?

Lobo Savvy is in the business of IT support. We provide on site solutions for businesses in Colorado and northern New Mexico as well as remote support planetwide. Our techs have an average of 12 years of experience.

Frugal:
Our economy demands new and innovative business models. Smart businesses are upgrading only when necessary, but software companies frequently orphan hardware and software making it difficult to find support. Have you ever felt pushed into upgrading a machine or software for no other reason than to get support?

Lobo Savvy provides IT support, regardless of the make, model, or age of the hardware or software.

Impartial:
When does free software cost more to implement than software that costs real money? What's the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)? How can we find relevant data when everyone is yelling their biased opinion?

Lobo Savvy provides the widest range of software options for businesses without regard for vendor or license structure. Our goal is to help local businesses find the best fit.

Appropriate:
Have you ever wondered why “sustainable” “green” or “carbon friendly” technologies are labeled sustainable, while some real solutions are not? Are we sacrificing the sustainability of our businesses and livelihood for another type of sustainability? Why can't we have both since a reduction of consumption saves both money and the resource?

Lobo Savvy provides appropriate technology solutions and ways to trim costs and reduce resource dependencies. That's sustainability.

History

Lobo Savvy Technologies, LLC. is a combination of a business venture tracing its line back to 1988 and the brainchild of long discussions on how to serve the community while attending Better Business Bureau "Power Breakfasts". We realized that a narrow focus on just computers or computer repair wasn't getting anyone very far. When we tried to figure out what direction we needed to go as a business, it dawned on us that there are tons of side issues with computers that are never addressed. The computer is just an electrified pencil. A tool. The important bit is how the tool is used.

Moving forward from that viewpoint made us realize just how often people used a computer in its least helpful form: the pencil. Whether it was a business, student or general user, there was a knowledge gap in how versatile that lump of plastic, wires and buttons on the desk could be. People simply didn't realize the potential. Or, when they did, there was no help available to learn more.

This is the gap that Lobo Savvy Technologies wants to fill. Information is as much a tool as that electric pencil, the computer. Years ago, Jaye Sudar ran a computer class for Senior Citizens. It was well attended. Looking at the community, it is apparent that more people across the age spectrum wanted classes on everything from basic computer operations to special classes on social networks and specific software. In today's economic climate, people can't afford classes that the big companies or colleges provide. Nor can they learn by themselves without some sort of help. Rather than sit and complain about lack of business, we decided to give back to the community.

Our solution? Free classes in co-operation with Spanish Peaks Public Library, Tech for All, and The Huerfano World Journal newspaper. We've developed many basic classes that cover a variety of topics. Word processing, spreadsheets, and general Internet survival are just a few of them. Aaron has been writing the Tech Savvy column for the Huerfano Journal over the last two years and has been amazed by the feedback he has received from people who appreciate his work. There is so much information out there about computers and software that we had to share.

We have the tools. We have the knowledge.

We want you to succeed.
